For Middle School and High School students, yes. These students now have the option to opt out of the organic food program. They can either bring their own food to school or go out for lunch, provided they have parental permission.

This change recognizes the increased independence and decision-making abilities of older students, as well as their capacity to manage their dietary choices responsibly. 

For Preschool and Lower School students, the organic food program remains mandatory. Younger students benefit significantly from having access to nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals that meet the school’s standards for health and consistency.

No, tuition and food fees will not be prorated.

Tuition and Fees do not cover school supplies, uniforms, school production costumes, classroom party treats,  or field trips. 

Step-Up awards only apply towards annual tuition; it may not be applied towards:

• registration fee
• uniforms
• material fees
• school supplies
• technology fees
• organic food plan fees
• yearbook fees

Yes, in many cases, a third party such as an employer, sponsor, or scholarship provider can pay your tuition. The process involves the third party coordinating with KPA's finance department to arrange payment.

If tuition is not paid on time, students with an outstanding balance may be withheld from receiving report cards or transcripts, and attending social functions (i.e., class trips, school-wide events, etc.). Students with severely delinquent accounts may ultimately be required to withdraw from school.
