Lower School

Key Point Academy's Lower School program introduces a more formal education while continuing to promote the joy and wonder children have about their world. Children want to explore, investigate, discover, and absorb just about everything they encounter. At KPA, we have structured our kindergarten through 5th grade academic program around a high-quality curriculum that offers engaging, personalized, and real-world learning experiences.

Curriculum

MATH

The enVision  Mathematics program combines problem-based learning and visual learning to deepen students’ conceptual understanding. Lessons begin with Problem-Based Learning (PBL), where students critically evaluate real-world math problems, collaborate, and present solutions. This is followed by Visual Learning to solidify underlying math concepts, helping students better grasp mathematical ideas.

SCIENCE

Elevate Science offers a comprehensive, student-centered learning experience. This blended print and digital curriculum engages students in phenomena-based inquiry, three-dimensional learning, and hands-on investigations, encouraging active exploration and a deep understanding of scientific concepts.

SOCIAL STUDIES

myWorld Interactive is a K-8 social studies curriculum that encourages active inquiry while introducing civics, economics, geography, and history concepts. Students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills for engaged civic life. The program includes strong ELA instruction to support social studies inquiry and new literacy standards. myWorld Interactive is both comprehensive and adaptable, providing a student-centered approach that helps students engage and achieve academic goals.

LANGUAGE ARTS

myView Literacy is crafted to help students achieve those “lightbulb moments” in reading and writing. It enables both Reading and Writing Workshops with a foundation of research and rigor, inspiring creativity while empowering students to learn from the world around them as they develop their own stories.
