What Students Learn & How They Grow

Our elementary and kindergarten students learn through active participation, exploration, and collaboration. Lessons are designed to make academic concepts understandable, engaging, and connected to the real world.

Teachers use interactive resources, digital materials, and ongoing assessments to adjust instruction so each student receives the support or challenge they need.

English Language Arts

Students become stronger readers, writers, speakers, and analytical thinkers.

They work with increasingly complex literary and informational texts while developing:

  • close reading and comprehension strategies
  • argumentative, informational, and narrative writing
  • evidence-based responses
  • grammar and language conventions
  • discussion, collaboration, and presentation skills

Math

Instruction covers key middle school standards, including ratios, equations, geometry, statistics, and functions.

Students are expected to explain reasoning, apply problem-solving strategies, and think more abstractly.

Science

Students explore life, physical, and earth sciences through investigations and experiments.

They analyze data, construct explanations, engage in scientific argumentation, and connect concepts to real-world phenomena.

Social Studies

Students build historical thinking, civic understanding, and global awareness.

They work with primary and secondary sources, conduct research, participate in debates, and connect historical events to modern issues.
